During this time, we try to find the best way to engage our audience and provide them with content and products that is beneficial to them and their family. With the overwhelming feeling of the holidays, it might be difficult for you to figure out what you are going to put out there and when you’re going to post seasonal content.
In this episode, I walk through the importance of seasonal content and how to be prepared in showing up for your audience. There are things you should consider such as, the types of seasonal content, the timeline of when to put them up, ways to incorporate social media with this content, and how to refresh old content that is still relevant today.

TikTok is the latest and apparently the greatest video-based social site.

These are big accomplishments and if you’re like most marketers and entrepreneurs you’ve been wondering how TikTok can help your business and whether should you get started (or keep up with) TikTok.
And then comes another notch in the TikTok belt, SEO.
A lot of things have been happening in the TikTok app and in google with ranking and indexing TikTok videos. These changes make TikTok and much better option for business owners and I dare to say worth the effort you would put into creating this new short-form content
In this episode, I give you all of the tea on my current thoughts on TikTok, including how I think the use of SEO will help you on tiktok and how TikTok videos and content can help your SEO on your website
In the episode I also share:
Breaking news, I also mention in the episode how Google has introduced a short video SERP area, here's a screenshot of what that looks like on mobile

As a business owner that uses search engine optimization (SEO) as a strategy, we absolutely love keeping up with Google. On average, Google provides updates every few months and it is usually when they receive wind of a new trick uprooting the goal of providing unique and authentic content. Well guess what, in both May and August of 2022, Google has updated their algorithm again.
When Google decides to do small updates to their algorithm, business owners start to feel the effects immediately. The updates this year is tackling the use of Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) generated content. Recently Google stated that AI is against their terms of services. That is because they want unique content that can provide value and contribute to the conversation.
In this episode, I break down the updates from both May and August, how it can impact your business and suggested next steps on how to use this update to your benefit. If you are a part of the Girl Get Visible family, I do have some good news for you. If you have My SEO Workbook and have been following my tips on using SEO over the years, then you probably are in a good place. I’ve always cheered creating only expert, authentic, and trustworthy content for your audience.

Recently, I have been looking on Facebook and conducting reviews of my client’s work and we have hit a wall in our SEO journey. Content creators and business owners are struggling with the concept of doing all the things necessary to get visible, but not seeing the results they desire.
It can be frustrating to provide consistent, blog posts, podcast episodes, products, and courses for your audience, with little to no traction to your site. You’re probably also using common SEO tools to get a sense of how your site is doing and still no luck.
I am here to tell you that the lack of results may not be due to the steps you are taking or the tools you are using, but instead, the things that we are writing. Certain tools that help with SEO are great, but they aren’t everything. SEO tools focuses on analyzing information you’ve provided, instead of analyzing what you may be missing. And the next appropriate step in finding out what you are missing, could be to hire an SEO strategist and we are always here to help increase your traction and visibility.
But what if I told you that before the tools and before the professional SEO strategist, there is a free and easy option to get started without any delay. Let’s talk about Google and how it provides clues and signals on what you should include in your content and site.
In this episode you will learn:
I look forward to seeing you in search!

Did you know that podcasting is one of three sustainable places to make your content?
Podcast SEO is extremely important and has gained an immense increase in attraction online and within the business community. Even major companies are expanding their products to host and invest into the podcast community. I’ve been within the podcast space for years, and it still shocks me when I find out SEO is not being used. People are really struggling, because although SEO is pretty old and podcasting is old, no one is marrying the two. The best way for podcasters to grow and be seen is by using SEO, because with SEO, we intentionally make content our audience is looking for. It is no longer enough to post a show or have many episodes, there has to be intention behind it.
Now, this increase in investment around podcast SEO, can be seen as both positive and not so great due to the increased competition. However, using SEO with your podcast works and we must start acknowledging it.
In this episode you’ll learn:
Remember, don’t close yourself off to more opportunities, by not using SEO for your podcast.
BONUS: Here is the free SEO Podcast Scorecard to help you to see if your podcast show is doing well with integrating SEO.

Have you ever had someone address you by the wrong name? I have while receiving a podcast pitch and immediately, I lost my desire in reading the remainder of the email. Mistakes happen, but that’s not really a great first impression if you want to be a guest on my podcast show and in front of my audience.
If you’re not familiar with what a podcast pitch is, I am here to help. It is where you send an email to a fellow podcaster letting them know why they should consider you as a guest on their show! It’s an exciting and amazing experience to grow and build your network in the podcast world. Podcast pitches are important to increase your visibility, because being in front of another audience can increase traffic to your site and your business.
Okay, so we know podcast pitches are important, but what happens when your pitch is just not great. I have seen people throw themselves under the pitch bus, either on their own or by pitch companies they pay for. This is not the kind of visibility we need.
I’ve provided 10 common mistakes people make when sending a podcast pitch. I’ve had the unpleasant experience of them all, and we really need to talk about it, guys.
In this episode you’ll learn:
Remember, a pitch is not good until it is accepted. So if you see yourself in any of these examples, it’s time to make some changes.

Today’s episode is to provide accountability to my Girl Get Visible listeners, on how you view your metrics and KPI. In recent discussions, I’ve seen business owners, not willing to own up to, whatever metrics they are measuring their business by.
For example, in SEO, metrics we may measure ourselves by are email subscribers, bounce rates, keyword rankings, and even page speed, to name a few. If you’ve been in a few SEO training sessions already, you may hear some lofty metric goals, but don’t scorn them. If you see a metric that’s relevant in your industry and immediately resort to lowering them, you are doing yourself a disservice. Nothing is unattainable and you have the power to succeed, beyond your wildest imagination. Now, it may not happen overnight, but make it a goal and continue to work on it.
Listen to this word of encouragement on why metrics should not be seen as a myth, but instead truth to the success of your business.
In this episode you’ll learn:
I really hope you enjoy this episode, and don’t forget to share with me the goals you are trying to achieve in the comments.
In this episode, I am so happy to speak with Brittany Raji Alberty, founder of The Marketing Midwife, to discuss how she successfully stayed visible while managing life and business.
Brittany attended one of my courses on using SEO a few years back, and we recently reconnected on Club House. She is now an educator to other entrepreneurs on how to be successful through ecommerce, online visibility, and content strategy. In 2021, her top visibility strategies were using Club House, Content Marketing and Live streaming to help others articulate their expertise area, which led to generating over $200,000 in revenue.
Brittany pointed out that as a new mom and entrepreneur, its difficult to keep up with all the demands coming your way. She did a fantastic job of providing real and much needed insight, that a lot of other entrepreneurs or coaches, might shy away from.
Struggling with e-commerce and online marketing, is not new. Additionally, struggling with experiences such as postpartum pregnancy, being a mompreneur and wife, and the pandemic, is not new.
In this episode you’ll learn:
I truly enjoyed speaking with our guest Brittany, and I know this will resonate with at least one of my listeners.

“Own your Niche, Love your niche, Date your niche” - Akilah
According to the Oxford Dictionary, a niche is “denoting products, services, or interests that appeal to a small, specialized section of the population”. Terms such as small and specialized, means that your niche should capitalize on a targeted audience. Have you ever thought about that?
In this episode, I talk about the importance of selecting a niche and then narrowing it.
One thing that business owners struggle with is communicating to their desired audience that their product or service can help them. How do I know, you may ask? Well, when I broadened my niche, it was so much harder for me to find ways to communicate to my clients that I am here to help them with their SEO. I knew better, but at the moment, I focused on all the possibilities of SEO and with so many people asking for my services I thought, why not.
The biggest mistake I ever made was broadening my niche to try and help everyone. Just because it’s possible, does not mean it should be done.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Remember, don’t make the same mistakes I did. Narrow your niche, sis!
Every year I get asked the same question, is blogging dead?
The short answer is NO, the full answer is nothing ever dies it just evolves.
In this episode, I talk about the 2022 evolution of blogging, content marketing, and audience. Blogging isn’t just for good SEO
In 2022 Every course creator, membership site owner, podcaster needs to include blogging or an aggressive show notes strategy (for my podcasters) into their marketing strategy. In the episodes, I talk about the importance of blogging this year and how major coaches Stu McLaren, Rachael Rodgers, James Wedmore, Lisa Nichols, Amy Porterfield, Nicole Walter, Lamar Tyler, and many others are using blogging, podcasting, and long-form video content publishing machine
In the episode I share:
As we jump into 2022. It’s a good idea to look at what worked and what isn’t working in your business.
A lot of times when we do these reviews we focus on metrics, money, customers to measure how well we did but we rarely look at the marketing strategies, marketing tactics, and overall marketing habits that we need to make to grow scale and have a better year.
This year I’m calling all of my entrepreneurs to level up, if you’re a coach, course creator, membership site owner this episode is for you with LOVE.
In this episode, I talk about the bad marketing strategies we need to give up in 2022, I’m sure there are more than a few bad marketing tactics we can talk about but in this episode, I specifically focus on 4 that I think is stopping you from hitting your goals the most: hope marketing, guilt trip marketing, wake up marketing, and “I’m new to business” marketing. These are the ones that are dragging us down so much and are likely why you didn’t hit your goals last year.
One of the big messages you’ll get in this episode is being consistent and planning out promotions is key in 2022.
And you’ll also learn:
Here are some of the resources for helping get new marketing strategies that I mentioned
